Hello faithful, beautiful, understanding readers! I'm still alive!! If you follow me on social media (Twitter @hockeymakeup @beautyfullbooks or FB https://www.facebook.com/beautybooksblog/) You kind of know what's been going on and why I've been inactive. Here's a breakdown ...
Back in April I had a family emergency, not with me, and was taking care of said family member. The week after everything went back to whatever my 'normal routine' could be considered I started having hemorrhaging nose bleeds. They started happening as a result of the right-side of my sinuses being blown apart due to a reaction to getting my eyes dilated and the pressure checked in my eyes at a recent eye doctor appointment. It was not a fun time, let me tell you! I ended up getting so scared (having blood clots the size of tissues coming out of your nose is scary) that my BP went through the roof, since I'm someone who has a normal BP this made things even more concerning. So after a night in the ER and many, many trips back, I was ultimately put on bed rest to ensure my BP would stay under control (which it did once I calmed myself down) and so my nose could recover. I ended up having my nose cauterized three times, thankfully the 3rd time worked so I was able to fully start recovering.
I'm sure this sounds like a minor set back but let me tell you, it was anything but minor. My body went through a lot from losing blood, to the high blood pressure, stress, and then bed rest .... bed rest is a true bastard ... you can't do anything so your strength gets depleted too. The medicine I was on really took a toll on my system and caused constant drowsiness. I have a super sensitive system, as you may have noticed, and it took a long time til my body fully got back to 100%. The middle of June was when I was finally able to blow my nose, sneeze without worry, lift things over 10 lbs., exercise, etc.
I thought I would get back to blogging around the last week of June but I just got busy with other things and that didn't happen.
Blogging is my life ... I will never be able to put into words how much it has changed my life! I've met some of the most amazing people and I cannot imagine my life without my blog!
I want to get back into doing videos, not just for books but for makeup too. That was a passion of mine but it's so time consuming but I love it! I'd love to do more than just the print blog so that's in the works too!
My goal is to be back to "normal" blog life by the end of July, if not before!
I appreciate everyone who has send kind words, thoughts, and prayers while I was battling this ... I mean really, who the hell would think getting your eyes dilated would lead to such a mess?
To all the PR companies, authors, and readers, THANK YOU for being so understanding and letting me heal. I truly appreciate it! I miss working with all of you so much!!!
To me amazing blog readers/followers, thank you for every retweet, share, or interaction! You guys and gals are amazing!
See you all very, very, very soon! ~Heather

Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 15, 2017
From, Lauren Rowe, the USA Today and International bestselling author of The Club Series and Ball Peen Hammer comes a sexy standalone romance: Captain.
It wasnât the way this kind of story was supposed to go . . .
Insta-love isnât supposed to turn into insta-hate.
But thatâs exactly what happened when the hot-as-hell dreamboat I met in a bar turned out to be a lying, cheating scumbag-player-douche looking for nothing but a little side action. Jerk.
And he has the nerve to call me a liar and a âsociopathâ? Assh*le.
And now, three months later, through a mind-blowing series of events I couldnât have predicted in a million years, it turns out my boss is marrying his sister in Hawaii and Iâve got to play nice with him for an entire freaking week.
Okay, sure, Iâll put on a happy face this week and act like Iâve never even met the jerk before--did I mention his sister is marrying my boss?--but that doesnât mean Iâll like it. And it certainly doesnât mean Iâll stop secretly hating the cocky bastardâs guts.
Because I do.
I hate him.
I really do.
I just wish my brain would explain the situation to my body . . . because every time he flashes that panty-melting smile at me, it takes all my self-restraint not to jump the bastardâs hot-as-f*ck bones.

Release Date: April 27, 2017
Genre: Dark Erotica
Hosted By: Chance Promotions
I had a dream and a plan.
It was a risk but I got noticed.
I never thought the story I’ve chased would become my own reality.
A descent into darkness.
The signs were there, before it even happened.
I felt it and I should have run without looking back.
But I didn’t realize how deep and depraved it would become.
As the lines became blurred. I felt lost, but also found.
Was I selfish? Stupid? A victim?
Or was it simply my own special kind of sickness?
This is it. My monster. My enemy. My choice.
WARNING! This is dark erotic suspense. Story contains scenes of rape, abuse and violence which may be a trigger for some. It is intended for mature readers of dark erotica. Please proceed with caution.
This is not a romance book and it definitely not pretty.
This book is dark, twisted, and wrong. It is melancholic, and fucked-up.
I have a hero you shouldn't love.
I have a heroine you shouldn't sympathize.
I have some scenes you don't want to read.
I have some scenes you'll be offended because you can't resist the temptation of keep reading it.
This book has nothing to do with unicorns, rainbows, heart, and flowers.
And I'm warning you...
If you read this book it is your choice, not mine.
Don’t forget that I warned you.

Kelly Collins writes with the intention of keeping the love alive. Always a romantic, she is inspired by real-time events mixed with a dose of fiction. She encourages her readers to reach the happily ever after but bask in the afterglow of the perfectly imperfect love.
Kelly lives in Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains with her husband of twenty-five years, their two dogs, and a bird that hates her.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking the trails and visiting the mining towns like Cripple Creek. She likes to think it's the ambience that brings her there and not the amazing slot machine in the back of the casino.
In the winter, you'll find her tucked into her seat at The World Arena cheering her beloved Colorado College Tigers Hockey Team. After several losing seasons she knows there's a win coming soon. Kelly is no fair weather fan.
She has three amazing children, and she wonders how they all turned out to be engineers when only the creative side of her brain seems to work. She just chalks it up to the engineering genes her husband contributed to the mix.
Creative minds need an outlet and writing books is where she focuses her excess energy.
