This truly breaks my heart. I'll be honest, I knew this day was coming after he wasn't able to start this season but it's a day I never wanted to see come.
Pascal Dupuis was so much more than a hockey player, he was the heart of the team. People (myself included) go nuts for Crosby, Fleury, Malkin, and Letang, but none of them retain the love from fans that Duper does. I'm so glad, even though it was short lived, the former #1 top line of Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis was brought back a couple weeks ago. Remembering the magic the three of them made throughout the years will forever go down in Penguin hockey history.
I'm hoping the Penguins keep him on as staff and that Dupuis and his family stay in Pittsburgh.
I can't believe the last time I saw him play was the last time. Such a sad day! Be well, healthy, and happy Duper! We love you! Taking a note from you with your "thanks Daaaaaaannnn" we now can say "thanks Duuuupppper" for all you brought to Pittsburgh!
