Watch the trailer before you read my post ... it'll be hard to not keep re-watching it!
OH. MY. GOD. I'm not one to say things are 'epic' but this looks freakin EPIC!!!
I'll be honest, my first reaction to the whole idea of the Batman v. Superman movie was to see it purely cause of Henry Cavill. He brings a whole new level to Superman that is just absolutely mind blowing. He gives respect and honor to the role, keeping the classic 'Clark Kent' character in place but completely owning it with his style & talent. When I heard Christian Bale wasn't suiting up as Batman my heart broke, to me he's the ultimate Batman. Once they announced Ben Affleck was suiting up, I had the same reaction as most "nooooooooo!" Ben is awesome and so talented but Batman?? Ah.
The first trailer that premiered at Comic-Con came out and I was like, yeah, I can do Ben as Batman, he brings the new persona to it that this movie creates. He's the 'older' Batman which I think Ben plays very well ... the moment he came on screen as 'Bruce Wayne' it was completely believable.
Okay, so after my lengthy little chat there about this movie and my first thoughts, let's get down to business.
In my previous post I shared the itty bitty sneak peek that appeared during the mid-season finale of Gotham on Monday. According to DC fans, that is part of a dream sequence that Batman is having about Superman. He precedes him to be this 'god-like' jerk thinking he's goal is to kill him. As we saw last night, Superman doesn't plan on killing Batman ...
Chills! The fierceness of Superman is off the charts!
I've seen people question the role of Lex Luthor being played by Jesse Eisenberg. I haven't seen a lot of films but I know he can play a psycho fairly well and from the trailer he seems to nail it.
As if all this isn't exciting ... Wonder Woman makes her screen debut in Batman vs. Superman. Gal Gadot suits up in the ultra sexy, Greek goddess like version of WW. We got the tiniest peek of her in the summer trailer but her entrance was shown in last night's and it's FREAKIN AWESOME! I LOVED how Batman & Superman both asked each other if she was with either and she's just standing there like her awesome self after basically saving both their asses. Ha. LOVED IT!
If March 25, 2016 could get here, like oh, I don't know, TOMORROW, that would be awesome!
As I'm sure you guessed, I'm a huge Henry Cavill fan so naturally I'll direct you to Henry Cavill News for all the latest photos, news, and updates on Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. If you check out their post about last night's trailer premier you'll see my tweet reaction they used! Such an honor!
