Hi, my name is Heather, I've been addicted to Alexa Riley's books for about 3 months now, this is my first meeting ...
I read this book about a month and a half ago but just read it again ... obviously meaning this book is very good! I can't believe I didn't post a review ... so here we go ...
Alexa brings us the story of Chris, a former NFL player, who was forced to retire due to bad knees. His good friend & physical therapist, Phil, told him about their local high school needing a new football coach. Chris interviewed for the job and got it immediately. While his house is being built, Phil invites Chris to live with him and his wife. At the end of the summer their daughter, Megan is due home from camp and they are waiting to throw her an 18th birthday party. While Phil is making steaks on the grill Chris goes inside and runs into a long-haired very beautiful girl. They fall down and when he locks eyes with her he immediately feels a pull towards her. After getting them up Chris asks for her number and says about rejoining the party and waiting for Megan. The girl laughs and goes outside to be greeted by her Dad, Phil. Completely dumb struck on finding out this beautiful woman he crashed into is Megan, Chris starts to try and forget their encounter. Throughout the day he finds Megan looking back and lingering. That night Megan comes into his room, pretty much forces herself onto him, Chris reluctantly gives in knowing this is more than a casual fling. Now that school is back in session, Chris has to sit back and watch his star player, Croy, flirt with Megan. Chris moves out and one afternoon while him and Megan are enjoying themselves a mysterious woman comes in sending Megan into a whirlwind as she claims to be with Chris.
I didn't think I would be into the breeding series but I'm freakin hooked! They are so kinky, taboo, and yes, far fetched but hell, it's a romance novel ... isn't that the point? This is a super quick read, great if you're in between books or looking for something to read in the bath tub! Love, love, love this book!
